Idol Tidbits, January 25: The Latest on All Your Favoritesby Donna Reynolds -- 01/25/2006
View Printable version of this article Season four's Nikko Smith has certainly not been idle since wrapping up the Idol tour in September. Nikko will be on hand at the St. Louis Auto Show on Sunday, January 29. He will sign autographs from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and promote his upcoming CD, Got to Getcha. Nikko plans on having the album finished by April and will be selling it on his website, www.nikkostl.com. The auto show will be held at America's Center and Edward Jones Dome, 701 Convention Plaza in St. Louis. Admission is $8.00 for adults. Diana DeGarmo, who was runner-up on season three, will be joining the Broadway cast of Hairspray on February 7. She is cast in the role of Penny Pingleton. Diana, who turned 18 in June, performed for the troops in Iraq on New Year's Eve as part of the USO tour. Josh Gracin, who finished fourth on season two, is featured as the opening act for Trace Adkin's Honky Tonk Badonkadonk tour, which kicked off on January 19. Josh's self-titled CD has done very well on both the country and pop charts, and is still charting after 83 weeks! It seems that Constantine Maroulis hasn't stopped to take a breath since the tour ended! After wowing fans in Manila in December, he and his band, Pray for the Soul of Betty, have kicked off a 14-city tour that includes upcoming stops in Columbus, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Boston, New York, and Philadelphia. Click here for ticket and venue information. Constantine fans had an added treat last week when Bo Bice showed up at Con's Roxy (L.A.) show. Bo had just finished taping Jimmy Kimmel's' show on which he performed with the guys from his band, Sugar Money. Speaking of Bo (you knew I couldn't get through this without at least one Bo update!), he will be appearing on January 27 at the Twisted Martini in Jacksonville, FL. The show is being sponsored by radio station WAPE 95.1, and appears to be only for people who have won tickets through the station. But do not despair, Bo will be appearing at the House of Blues in Cleveland on February 12 in what is being called the Valentine's Ball. The show starts at 8:00 p.m., and tickets are $20-$25. On February 18 and 19, George Huff will be performing & participating in events surrounding the NBA All Star Game in Houston. George's single, "A Brighter Day," is featured on the upcoming album, Wow Gospel 2006, set for release on January 31. George is is good company! The CD features tracks by gospel greats such as Donnie McClurkin, Fred Hammond, Nicole C. Mullen, and Smokie Norful! Season four's Anthony Fedorov will be performing in this year's Parade of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, in Washington, DC, on April 8. The parade kicks off at 10:00 a.m., and travels along Constitution Avenue between 7th and 17th Streets. Anthony will also be appearing with Idol 2’s Carmen Rasmusen in an upcoming Reality Star edition of Fear Factor on NBC. For some unknown reason, there is still no information on when this show will air, but last year, the reality edition aired early in February. You'd think they would publicize it in advance! Also appearing on this show are Craig Williams and Tana Goertz from Apprentice 3, Jonathan Baker and Victoria Fuller from the Amazing Race, Twila Tanner and Jon Dalton from Survivor, and Trishelle Cannatella and Mike Mizanin from the Real World.
