By now, you’ve watched the show and read the recap on RNO, so you know what Carrie, Len, Bruno, and Jill think. What do our judging staff of Sandy Lamparello, Logan Huffman, and Ashley Lundy have to say?

Emmitt Smith & Cheryl Burke:

Sandy: Well, that was interesting. I’m not sure how I felt about that dance; something just seemed to be off. And I REALLY wasn’t crazy about the music. The whole performance left me wanting more. Emmitt’s fans will need to vote like crazy this week.

Logan: I didn’t really like Emmitt and Cheryl’s performance this week. I expected far more from them based on their previous performances. Emmitt made several missteps, and he had a very strained, almost constipated look on his face throughout the entire performance. The highlight was probably the lift, but they knew it wasn’t allowed. However, I do believe they are popular enough to survive.

Ashley: Not even my love of Emmitt can override how I felt about this performance. I admit that was rough and choppy. Also, their faces were stuck in punk rock mode, like they were trying to look angry or bad. I did not care for Cheryl’s purple dyed hair extensions. Admittedly, I liked a few of their tricks. Cheryl is a top-notch choreographer. And I still think that Emmitt can dance, but he’s slipping. They need to loosen up and start having fun again. So I can.

Monique Coleman & Louis Von Amstel:

Sandy: Monique and Louis looked great together this week. I loved their outfits! And how cute is her mom?! As for the dance, I thought they did a great job. They were in sync and didn’t miss a beat. Mom was surely proud of that performance!

Logan: Monique and Louis were great this week. The jump at the beginning of the dance was awesome, and Monique kept up with the fast pace of the dance all the way through. She is definitely proving herself as a potential winner of the competition.

Ashley: I do believe that Monique & Louis are officially starting to grow on me. It’s like a switch flipped. I’m on board, people! I loved the opening little stunt. I loved every bit of it. Including the yellow outfits, even if it did look like her drawers were about to fall off at one point. Excellent performance. I loved Monique’s rock vibe in this jive. It’s embarrassing, but I actually clapped at the end. In my living room. By myself. It was just that good.

Harry Hamlin & Ashly DelGrosso:

Sandy: How can you not love Harry? He’s working so hard, taking this competition so seriously, but managing to have fun with it too. He still seems a bit on the stiff side, but it actually worked for this dance. Their visit to the tango bar really paid off. Great job!

Logan: Ashly and Harry did a nice job this week. Their tango was solid, and this was definitely their best performance yet. If his fan base holds (which I bet it will), I doubt they’re going anywhere this week.

Ashley: What, no laughing yoga instructor? The performance could have used it. I was bored out of my mind. Harry is the stiffest dancer in this competition. He looks so concentrated, like he’s always just preparing for the next step. It’s makes him look like the amateur he is. They were very unlucky to have to follow Monique & Louis’s smoking display of mad skills. It wasn’t bad, per se, just boring by comparison.

Willa Ford & Maksim Chmerkovskiy:

Sandy: Willa can dance, there’s no doubt about that. Although she had a smile on her face, she seemed somewhat tentative at times and there were parts of the performance that just didn’t flow. Willa doesn’t seem to be enjoying herself as much as some of the other stars.

Logan: Willa and Max were great this week. Willa always gives it her all and delivers on each performance. Unfortunately, America doesn’t care. I can’t believe they still won’t vote for her. I’m not sure what else she can do to get votes. She says upfront in her video each week that she needs America’s support, but her pleas always fall on deaf ears. As always, her and Max’s chemistry was great, and Willa seemed to hint that they may have something going on. I hope so, as if she can’t continue on in the competition, at least something good will have come out of it for her. The lift may have hurt her score a bit, but their mistake wasn’t nearly as bad as some of the other couples.

Ashley: The ladies are really bringing the heat this week! I thought Willa’s outfit was downright ridiculous, but I’m sure ALL the men watching would disagree with me. Although, I thought the dancing was great! There were some good tricks and playful chemistry. The dance was not as smooth and as gutsy as Monique & Louis’s, but I felt like it was a great runner-up performance. I agree with Bruce that Len was very cranky because I thought it was a good fun dance.

Jerry Springer & Kym Johnson:

Sandy: I think Kym was trying to kill Jerry with that dress this week! Jerry’s movements didn’t seem as crisp as they should have, I don’t know if he was distracted or what but at times he appeared to shuffle across the dance floor. I thought he was better than Emmitt though.

Logan: Jerry and Kym were entertaining, as always. His little jump towards the end of their dance was nice, and I do feel that it was their best performance yet. His dream of making it to the week they perform the waltz will probably come true, as I’m pretty sure his support will continue.

Ashley: Double-O Jerry. Ha! Cute. As usual, Jerry let Kym do all the hard work and he just tagged along for the ride. I thought he was brave to have that much empty space between him and Kim in the opening, armed with nothing but an imaginary gun. It put the spotlight on his dancing for a few seconds and frankly, I was relieved that Kym swooped in and distracted me. She was fantastic and danced as if she was completely healed, but Jerry’s charm is not enough anymore. He is an awesome personality, I still adore him, but he really shouldn’t be much longer for this competition. I think someone more deserving would be sent home if we kept Jerry. Sorry old pal.

Sara Evans & Tony Dovolani:

Sandy: Sara looked once again like she was just going through the motions, even with a smile on her face. Country jive just didn’t work for me. Not much else I can say.

Logan: I couldn’t believe I was watching Sara Evans. She has sucked every week so far, and she suddenly came from left field with a great performance this week. She looked great as well, even though it looked like her boobs would pop out. If she keeps her performances up to this level, she may emerge as a strong contender.
